We’re delighted to share the outcome of our recent . This inspection took place under Ofsted’s refreshed 2025 framework, which looks at individual aspects of early years practice rather than providing a single overall grade. It gives families a clearer, more meaningful picture of what a nursery does well and how children experience their everyday learning.

We are incredibly proud to share that Alexandra Park Creative Nursery School met the expected standard across all areas, with safeguarding judged as met. This reflects the strong, thoughtful practice already deeply embedded across the nursery and the enriching experiences children enjoy every single day.
Here’s a look at what inspectors celebrated during their visit.
Inspectors saw children approaching their play with independence, positivity and a wonderful ‘can‑do’ attitude. They were confident in making choices, exploring ideas and working together.
The caring, respectful interactions within the team were highlighted as a real strength. Children feel safe, supported and part of a close‑knit, nurturing community.
The team knows each child deeply - their interests, their ways of communicating and their individual needs - helping every child feel secure, understood and valued.
Children are encouraged to manage self‑care tasks, assess risks safely and take ownership of aspects of their day, building confidence and resilience.
Inspectors praised the rich learning experiences children enjoy. The team extends children’s ideas, sparks curiosity and encourages deeper thinking in playful, purposeful ways.
Both indoor and outdoor spaces offer room for movement, discovery and early mathematical thinking - all through the lens of child‑led exploration.
The use of visual cues, sign language and tailored approaches supports children with additional needs and those learning English, ensuring every child can participate fully and confidently.
The nursery’s collaborative approach was recognised as a key part of its success, with families and external specialists working closely alongside the team.
Leadership was praised for its clear, child‑centred vision - one that champions independence, communication and learning through exploration.
This positive outcome is a reflection of the dedication, passion and expertise found across the entire Alexandra Park Creative Nursery School team. Every person contributes to creating a warm, inspiring environment where children feel confident, capable and celebrated.
A heartfelt congratulations to Nursery Manager, Marie Townrow, and her team. Their shared commitment to nurturing children, supporting families and delivering high‑quality early years practice shines through every day, and this inspection recognises that collective effort.
Thank you to our wonderful children and families for being such an important part of the Alexandra Park community. Your trust and partnership help the nursery continue to flourish.
