Nursery Manager
Felicity Rose

Hello and welcome, I’m Felicity, the manager at Sunshine Nursery School.

I’m proud to say I've been part of the team for 15 years, starting out as a casual member of the team and working my way through various roles gaining knowledge and experience as I progressed. Since 2019, I've had the pleasure of being the Nursery Manager. Having lived in this community my entire life, I’m dedicated to strengthening Sunshine’s ties within our local area. I’ve truly enjoyed developing partnerships with local care homes and The Community Wardens, which allows us to enhance our experiences.

We’re thrilled to have maintained an Outstanding Ofsted rating across our last three inspections, and I believe this success comes from the dedication and expertise of our wonderful team. Each member is committed to understanding their key children’s interests and providing the best support for them during their time with us.

I’m always excited to share more about our nursery and how we can tailor our services to meet the needs of each individual family and child. If you’d like to chat about the opportunities we offer, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d love to hear from you!

Making a difference

Our Community

At Sunshine, we believe in supporting one another through compassion and care, especially during life’s most difficult moments. We’re proud to be supporting Sands, a charity that offers vital support to anyone affected by the death of a baby, and works to improve bereavement care and fund research to save babies’ lives.

Throughout the year, we’ll be getting together for lots of fundraising activities, from bake sales and dress-up days, to sponsored challenges. Together we can make a difference to such an important cause and inspire our children to grow with kindness and generosity. We can’t wait to see what we can achieve as a community! Keep an eye out for updates on our events and how you can get involved in supporting Sands.

[HEADER]Funding We are pleased to provide the Government's 15 Hours and 30 Hours funding offer for all eligible children aged 9 months and above. Our Funding Guide provides an overview of how to check eligibility and how we offer funding. Our stretched funding offers up to 11.18 hours / 22.35 hours a week for 15 Hours / 30 Hours funding respectively across all 51 weeks we’re open. Parents can apply up to 10 hours of funding per day, during our regular session times. Eligible working families can use their full 22.35 hours weekly entitlement by applying the first 20 funded hours towards 2 full day sessions, and the balance 2.35 hours can be taken over a full day or partial day session. Families eligible for 11.18 hours funding per week can apply the funded hours across a mix of full day or partial day sessions. Government funding is not intended to cover the cost of meals, other consumables, or extracurricular activities. Accordingly, as part of our integrated offering, we apply modest charges for these to each funded session. If you’re considering options other than our integrated offering, please speak with the nursery manager. Costs below are based on a full day with 10 hours of funding. For a half day or a part funded session, our invoicing system pro-rates the charges. Homecooked food: £7.50 (under 3s), £8.00 (over 3s); Health & Hygiene consumables: £2.50 (under 3s), £2.00 (over 3s); Extracurricular activities: £7.50 (over 2s only). No charge for under 2s; Additional hours: Priced at the session hourly rate for partially funded sessions. Please refer to our nursery fee calculator for an estimate of your monthly cost, inclusive of charges. Note: If your child accesses funding with us for the first time during the Summer term, please ask the Nursery Manager about our summer stretched offering, which operates a bit differently for the first term only.
